Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is an item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize during Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, as well as gathering tools to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, based on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attribute bonuses while the equipment is being used. The item being upgraded must be equipped with an upgrade slot to accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be above a certain level. Certain upgrade items come with special visual effects that appear when they are applied. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchased from karma sellers or exchanged with other players on the Trading Post, used to repair equipment, or as rewards in games.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each providing a different bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions, can be used with any kind of equipment, and offer less bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, while enrichments are utilized for certain items that are ascended back. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs which can only be inserted in gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. the word Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrades that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add decorative or functional elements, such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel allows you to insert and examine these special characters as well as common symbols like em and en dashes as well being registered trademark symbols.
Each Glyph provides an initial boost in stats for the character. It also includes up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase which is multiplied once other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the speed of the hero.
Selecting the Glyphs and then clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will open a window that shows the Glyphs available to you. Make sure you select the right type of Glyph can be applied to the item you are looking for, as every weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have distinct sets of Glyphs.
You can increase the level of Glyphs by completing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it is able to be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrading a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
When a Glyph is at the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and then click the "enchant button". The Glyph that is created will grant its stated benefit, and boost all other nodes in its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be placed where they will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritise Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonuses if certain conditions can be met.
If you're having difficulty finding a particular glyph click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to show the panel in a variety of different views. Each view shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs further by selecting an option below "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs; Math symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process by which you open a new account to give yourself more chances to access an item or character you are interested in. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to gain more loot, for example, an improved weapon for your current character. A lot of players will reroll until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of its ability. It could be that they like the design or personality of the character.
It is important to make a clean change when you reroll. You should check locally whether the patch is approved by pre-commit and run a core dev check. Upload the patch with a clear distinction to an issue (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can be weeks or days long, depending on how lucky you are. During this period, you should avoid enemy camps that are optional to save time. In addition it is recommended to not repeat any quests that can be completed later in the game. This can help you save time and energy.
Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is making sure that you are aware of the upgrade system. There are numerous ways to enhance your character's appearance as well as power. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also crucial to be aware of the limitations of the system.
Rerolling may not be item upgrader but it's a way to increase the chances of acquiring the right character or weapon. You can use it to determine which character is the best or to play around with different styles of play and builds.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of the class). Sets can be used for operations such as union, intersection and difference.

When item upgrader upgrade a set item, it becomes an upgraded version that is better than the previous one. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense value and lower requirement for strength.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to parity with items in higher-tier sets. Upgrades like Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense by 217 up to 321 and decrease the strength and levels to an achievable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in a set are suitable for upgrading. Certain sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff, are already exceptional in their own right and don't need upgrading. On the other hand, certain items that are BiS and are used frequently (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance. For these types of items, it may be worth the extra expense to upgrade them.
