Upgrade components
Upgrade components are things that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to give an additional benefit or bonus when the equipment is used. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as an incentive, or even created using crafting materials. In addition to providing bonus attributes, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements, and infusions. They aren't generally available for general use and can only be used on ascended equipment or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. You can recover infusions, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage tool.
Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be exchanged and reused while still attached to the item that is being upgraded. These upgrade item s are the most effective option to boost weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the likelihood of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.

Upgrade components can be added to an item however, the original one is destroyed (except for legendaries and upgraded equipment). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or more. When you upgrade an item that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it would appear in game (for instance adding the Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to 3 upgrade items at once.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great addition to any item. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, increasing its effectiveness. These glyphs can be found through dungeons, and some be found in certain World Tier 3 areas. It's important to remember that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a dungeon that has the same level of depth.
To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it using components and then connect them via anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph with components, you can use the combination of anchors and paths. Then, drag an element in close proximity to an element highlighted to secure it.
Some glyphs have conditions to meet, such as having 25 Dexterity or more in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs are used for many different items and can be added to any weapon, except for weapons of a particular class. Certain glyphs require conditions for example, like having a certain number of Dexterity or Attack damage in a particular area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph gives you an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has an opportunity to render the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that can be applied to tools that are limited-use, such as the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs, which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are especially useful for classes that employ weapons that are ranged, like Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph makes enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that are used to reroll one of the results when performing an Action. After the reroll is completed the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids, and skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the shop or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons or trials, since they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at level 1. The upgrade gauge will grow by a certain number of points when you recycle an item. This number is determined by both the item's rarity and level. In addition, the upgraded item will not retain its level when rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises depending on its level.
The player can also make use of reroll tokens to reroll an item. However it will not restore the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for those who wish to reroll an item that they don't like and would like to keep it in their collection.
There are three different types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll random and upgrade. Each type comes with its own subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll are available in three levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires an item from the respective level to produce the new item with the same quality.
To use reroll item upgrade , click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Then, select a kind of token. The tokens that are available include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The use of an Item token will result in a new Item of any type. A Weapon or Misc token can create a new weapon belonging to the same faction.
The item may also be upgraded to a new item that has the same stats but a higher level. This could occur if the item been placed in the Pool that is not droppable, or if it was transferred there as part of an franchise card.
